sorry, but I don't know how to make this game work on wine.... what hardware do you have?

I'm using ubuntu 7.10, with compiz effects on normal. I have 2 Gb of RAM, and the integrated intel video card... and the game runs very slowly and with very bad textures... I've tried with the virtual desktop and without it, and it actually runs better without it (the screens flickers on each mouse click if using the virtual desktop)...

any suggestions?

8GB Dual-channel DDR2 800Mhz Memory
Black Steel Modular case w/extra fans 450w PSU

did you turn off debug support?
You could buy a NVidia card, there very cheap these days... a 8800 Ultra 768MB card goes for about $700.00

Are you sure you have got the right drivers, I had the same problems, then I installed the 3D-dirvers and it worked fine!
