Wow that is impressive to see it working under wine. But I wonder what sort of performance you are getting?
How does it compare with the smoothness of gameplay on windows? I recorded some game play here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JC3UMJ2It4

Hello Gordon,
It's just now to the point of playability, with the 3DMark patches included.
I installed, but when i tried to run the game i got the error:
err:module:import_dll Library d3dx9_34.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\Program Files\\Activision\\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare Demo\\iw3sp.exe") not found
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\Program Files\\Activision\\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare Demo\\iw3sp.exe" failed, status c0000135
any suggestions?
chris: you should go here: http://wine-review.blogspot.com/2007/11/directx-90c-on-linux-with-wine.html , the problem is that you haven't the DX9 installed.
