Could you please give your observations on the performance of MS Office running in a Linux system? Some organizations might be considering running MS Office over Linux Operating Systems, only if it proved to have no reduction in performance or proved have a fairly good performance.

The start times of the applications are typically a little longer and memory footprint is a little bit larger. But no showstopper. It works for example on an Athlon whith 1Ghz and 512 MB without problems.

I've just followed these instructions, they worked great. Thanks.

To answer the question re: performance, I am unable to discern any difference in start-up time between Win XP and Wine. My PC is an AMD Athlon XP 1500 with 512MB RAM running Fedora 7.

Thanks for the help. What level of wine is this based on? Are there any apps installed? Is IE installed? If so how was it installed? Thanks.

Every time I start any office application, it prompts me for the license key, even though I have entered it? Anyone got a work around for this?

I have the same problem as above, with all of the Office app's not accepting my CD Key, which works on my PC install. I enter the key, and the Enter CD Key screen comes back with out my entries.
