World Wine News Issue 362 Print
Written by Tom Wickline

This is the 362 issue of the World Wine News publication. Its main goal is to bring an update on GSoC status and the introduction of the Games Spotlight segment. It also serves to inform you of whats going on around Wine. Wine is an open source implementation of the Windows API on top of X and Unix. Think of it as a Windows compatibility layer. Wine does not require Microsoft Windows, as it is a completely alternative implementation consisting of 100% Microsoft-free code, but it can optionally use native system DLLs if they are available.
