openSUSE 11.0 will be released on June 19th. I don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to this release. Of course most of our readers on this site are diehard Ubuntu fans, but that doesn't mean you can't try something new or give the Live! CD a whirl.

I have been a SUSE user since version 6 and its been a long road, but I still feel; even after trying many other distrobutions over the years, that SUSE is the best distro out there. I highly recommend everyone to at least download the Live! CD and try it out. I understand it isn't for everyone, but you can't knock it until you try it.

There are many reasons why I have grown fond of SUSE. Their efforts and support (SUSE, NOVELL and openSUSE) in so many third party projects have really helped shape the Linux world as we know it today. NOVELL even supports Wine! Unlike so many other distros out their SUSE offers it out of the box. Additionally, NOVELL even pays its employees to help develop and support Wine.

With that said, see you all on the 19th in the most powerful OS, openSUSE 11.0
